DOW Polycarbonate Ltd.
is a joint venture between
LG corporation(former LG Chemical), the leading Chemical Company
in Asia and The Dow Chemical Company, the
largest Chemical Company in the world. LG-DOW was formed in early 1999.
Almost 2 ¨ö years later, on July 1st, 2001, LG-DOW celebrated the successful
start-up of the LG-DOW polycarbonate
plant in Yeosu, Korea, and the transfer
of Dow's polycarbonate market franchise
in Asia Pacific. |
The 80000 MTA LG-DOW plant is meeting
the growing demand for polycarbonate with
advanced technology and world-class quality
and competitiveness. LG-DOW is built
on the strength and capabilities of the two
parent companies. It combines the knowledge
and experience of two global plastic leaders
with the flexibility to meet the needs of
local customers. In Asia, LG-DOW is uniquely
capable of delivering proven polycarbonate

brand, and the local logistics flexibility
to meet the just-in-time demands of a diverse
customer base. LG-DOW

value. Growth in Asia Pacific should outpace
other regions. Therefore, LG-DOW has already
built the infrastructure for a second polycarbonate
plant at Yeosu and will continue to invest
in capacity expansion to meet the needs of
