exception of Japan. Target markets for
LG-DOW products include sheet and construction, general-purpose consumer
goods, optical media, electronic and
telecommunications equipment. LG-DOW
is a 50:50 joint venture company owned

Asia. The location provides easy access
for customers in Korea, and Greater
China, as well as excellent logistic
capability to service the broader
Asia Pacific region.
LG DOW Polycarbonate Ltd. is more
effectively serving customers and
satisfying growing needs in the Asia
Pacific engineering plastics market
by matching the strengths of global
plastics leaders, Dow Chemical and
LG corporation(former LG Chemical). The combined global capacity

Polycarbonate is still in its early
product life cycle. Demand growth
in Asia Pacific is expected to increase
more than 10 percent annually. LG-DOW
has secured the site and already built
the infrastructure for a second polycarbonate
train; essentially doubling the current
operations to a combined 130,000MTA
nameplate capacity.
